"In Japan," Seika said, continuing with her short answers. Hey, it was the truth.
(ooc: Slap her across the face! XD)

The emperor could tell that she wasn't telling the complete truth. He signalled to one of his guards who butted her in the back with the end of his spear. "Tell the complete truth!"

Seika fell forward from the spear, due to her being unbalanced in the first place. The guard wrenched her back onto her knees. Seika closed her eyes. "Japan...is a country in another world."

Now she had caught the emperors attention. "Another world you say?" Ryuken was interested as well. This could be an interesting development....

"Hai," Seika said. She would continue telling the truth until she was freed.

The emperor leaned closer. "Might you be... the priestess of Byakko?"

Seika remained silent. What the heck was a Priestess of Byakko? Not wanting the say something stupid, she decided not to say anything at all. Finally, she said, "Wakarinai."

The emperor thought for a moment. "Hmm... well in any case we shall take you to the palace. If you are indeed the priestess then we will overrun Konan and their own priestess!"

Silently, Seika followed the emperor and his parade to the palace, where the emperor immediately approached the room that held the holy statue of Byakko.

Ryuken silently followed them, stabbing a guard in the back and donning his equipment, following them. He followed them straight into the palace without anyone giving him so much as a second glance. He changed his appearance to match the guard he'd killed.
The emperor gestured at the statue. "That is our divine beast Byakko. It is said that some day, a person from another world would come here to summon him."

"Sou desu ka?" Seika asked, running her hand lightly around the details on the side of Byakko's head.

The emperor nodded. "If he is summoned, Byakko will bestow upon his summoner three wishes, and only the Priestess of Byakko may do so."

Seika smiled. "This statue is very calming..." she said, completely off topic but still telling the truth.

The emperor nodded again. "Indded. It is very calming." He paused allowing what he had said to sink in.
Ryuken took advantage of everyone's distraction to sneak off into the shadows, vanishing from view.

Still staring up at Byakko's giant face, Seika asked, "So, what are the conscequences?"

The emperor shrugged. "As far as we know, there are no consequences. However, first you must find the seven celestial warriors of Byakko. Each of them is marked by a celestial marking somewhere on their body."

Seika nodded. "Alright..." she said softly, closing her eyes and letting her hand fall from Byakko's face. Seika turned to the emperor and smiled. "However, would you mind fashioning a weapon for me?"

The emperor frowned slightly but nodded. "It is unusual for a country priestess to enjoy the glories of battle, but if it is what you desire..." He nodded to Seika. "We will happily arrange it for you."

Seika bowed to the emperor. "Thank you, Sire. It's just for self-defense," she said. She took the picture of her naginata out of her kimono sleeve again and handed it to the emperor. "If you please, make it in this shape." Seika handed the emperor the picture.

The emperor nodded and handed the picture to one of his guards. The guard departed. "You will have it soon priestess... That is, if you are now convinced that you are the priestess of Byakko."

Seika nodded. She turned to the door, then looked back at the emperor. "About the celestial warriors...do I get any clues?" she asked.
(ooc: Lol, I just thought of a funny log:
Seika: "Do I get any clues?" Emperor: "No, you don't." Seika: "WHAT?! I don't?!" Emperor: "You must find them yourself."
Not likely, though.)

The emperor nodded. "Yes. You will recieve this." He walked over to the statue. At the base of the statue was a scroll. It was labelled The Universe of Four Gods. He handed it to Seika. "The Celestial Warriors of Byakko will have a mark on their body that corresponds to this scroll."

Seika took the scroll and looked at it. "Arigatou," she said, bowing again.
(ooc: Doesn't the emperor have to give this whole speech announcing Seika as the priestess?)

(ooc: Well, remember that Hotohori was like, "You are now declared the Priestess of Byakko!" and then, when he led Miaka and Tamahome outside, there were rows and rows and rows of palace officials who were all on their knees with their foreheads to the ground that said, "Your Eminence" or something like that...)

(ooc: Well, if the book says so...)
The emperor smiled. "Then I declare you the Priestess of Byakko!" The double doors out into the courtyard were opened. Within the courtyard stood rows and rows of soldiers, their heads bowed to Seika.

The emperor nodded. "The universe of Four Gods will give you a clue to each celestial warrior, and will tell you their celestial symbol on their body."
